Video: Isaiah Saldivar: Guide on HOW TO Cast Out DEMONS

(detailed video notes are below, with some of my own notes (in italics) from experience mixed in)

Holy spirit is your coworker in deliverance, and He can and wants to help you identify every demon that needs kicked out, but you need to be able to hear Him clearly. See the teaching on How to Hear God for more help with that.

Gather information (Saldivar has a packet on his website) --- what are the top 3 things a person needs to be free from (dominating negative thoughts is the #1 sign you have a demon).

Make sure they realize this is an act of love, dress appropriately, have chaperones with you.

Demons of anger get angry, of lust get handsy, etc; lay hands on guys but use bible on girls for point of contact which is important.

You can praise God to get it to manifest/talk --- the goal is confrontation (not conversation) to get it out --- start by commanding the demons to leave, and if it doesn't leave then ask it why it has not left.

You cannot force deliverance on people, they need to want it and should want it more than you do. It's better to renounce more than less (doesn't hurt to renounce something that is not there).

Go over forgiveness --- speak out that you forgive the person. Repentance (changing how you see things) is huge (he only does this on believers). Verbally speak out: Satan you have no power, I'm not your home, I don't want you there (the demon lives there and they don't want to leave). You can speak: "come out" repeatedly, but it's more powerful if the person can say that.

Remember, the thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy and despite that fact that sin lets demons in, they are still here illegally and they are still subject to our authority in Christ. They HAVE TO OBEY a Christian's commands for them to leave in Jesus' name. They may be stubborn and need several commands, but they have to obey.

This is very important: when commanding them to leave, act like they can see your thoughts. It is debatable whether they can or not, but if you act like they can, then you will be much less double-minded and doubtful. Somehow, they are doubt detectors and if you are wondering in the back of your mind whether they will leave or not, they will know it. DO NOT let yourself have those thoughts!

Bind the demons in the name of Jesus, command them to go into the abyss (the pit, where demons wait until they are judged) with no passing on of duties in Jesus' name (they begged Jesus in Mark not to send them to the pit).

If the demon(s) are not leaving then command the prince demon to identify itself by name or by function (their name is based on their function). A demon could have a person's mother's name if the mother was abusive and the function of the demon is to be abusive. The spirit of Jezebel is a spirit that functions like Jezebel did in the bible, it's not just the name of the same spirit. In Revelation they talk about the spirit of Jezebel.

Go after the strongest demon and get it to leave and take the others with it, or go for the weaker ones to weaken the strong one

Go back 2-3x to make sure nothing is left. Go through all the demons we think have left, command them to come up from hiding, bind them, and if the person does not feel anything anymore then they're likely gone. It's important to know what's the flesh and what isn't to avoid confusion.

The demons left rooms of your soul which are now empty, so ask the Holy Spirit to fill those rooms (baptism of the HS is when it goes from being in your spirit to being in your soul)

In Acts Ch 8 Phillip preached to them, they got saved, THEN they cast out demons. The bible doesn't teach us exactly how to do deliverance, so we just have to do it.

Jesus responds to controversy (Luke 11:14-28)

"When a demon is cast out of a person, it goes to wander in the water-less realm, searching for rest, [but never finds it]. Finding no place to rest it says, 'I will go back to the body of the one I left. [I'll return to the house I moved out of,' and so it goes back, only to find that the house is vacant, warm, and ready for it to move back in]. When it returns, it finds the person like a house that has been swept clean and made tidy but is empty. Then it goes and enlists seven demons more evil than itself, and they all enter [to live there] and possess the person, leaving that one with a much worse fate than before. [Then the person's condition becomes much worse than it was in the beginning. This describes what will also happen to the people of this evil generation.]"

The above verse is evidence that deliverance is mainly for the church, because we need the Holy Spirit to fill the empty house and help prevent demons from returning so easily. Ultimately, to KEEP YOUR DELIVERANCE you need mind renewal to change how you see things and do things to prevent further sinning, which is what allows them in to begin with.

Do you think you or someone you know are being oppressed by demonic influence? Seek your local church leader(s) and if they cannot help you then there are people who can help. Isaiah Saldivar has a website with a "map of people that are willing and available to do deliverance."

Can a Christian who is filled with the Holy Spirit have 1 or more demons oppressing them and need deliverance? YES

I have seen many Christians delivered from demons and have needed it myself. Many pastors and church people do not think that is true, but it is, and it is a GREAT disadvantage for a Christian to not know how to do deliverance. See this video by Derek Prince who was an excellent minister and Bible teacher.

Many Christians do not believe in doing deliverance on non-Christians, because without the Holy Spirit to protect them may be very easy for the demon to return.

Can demons easily return to non-Christians after they have had deliverance? In some cases YES, in some cases NO. I believe it depends on the cause of the demon. Is it a habitual sin that is allowing the demon to come back? If so, then it will have an easy time coming back. This happens to be true in Christians as well as non-Christians. That's why it is so important for Christians to continually aim to have their minds renewed to God's word and to obey Jesus' teachings. See the section on mind renewal to learn more about that.

I received deliverance as a non-Christian from a demon that was trying to drive me crazy to kill myself. That demon did not come back despite the fact that it took me almost 10 years to become a Christian.
